Wilbur

Faneuil Hall is the home of a grasshopper. Actually, a very old one: It was created by America’s first documented weather vane maker Deacon Shem Drowne in 1742. The materials used are copper gilded with gold leafs and glass eyes.

If you wonder why I call it Wilbur, it’s the name of Goofy’s pet grasshopper in Walt Disney’s short “Goofy & Wilbur” from 1939.
